Hey there! I'm Torie and I blog over at Lattes and Love. I'm a 20-something blogger, college student, and coffee lover. On my blog I talk about everything from my book-writing adventures to self-love and body image issues to my rare but sometimes successful DIY attempts (I won Pinterest Project Queen with that one...). You'll pretty much get a dash of just about everything there. I like sharing products and companies I love with my readers and I love to talk style, too. Basically, Lattes and Love is as ever-changing as I am. Stop by and say hi, I'd love to have you. But now onto the good stuff. Thank you so much Sabine for letting me post!
Fall is here....sort of. The weather in my area can't make up its mind, and after a really hot, dog days kind of summer, I'm ready for cooler weather and colorful trees. I'm ready for all those Hallmark fall moments. To prepare for the (hopefully) impending arrival of fall weather I have put together a list of five of my favorite things to do during this brilliantly cool season.
1. A trip to the pumpkin patch.
Who doesn't love going to the pumpkin patch all bundled up in a sweater and scarf, watching little kids run around and scare each other in the corn maze? I can't wait to take a hay ride and nurse a cup of warm cider. Will it happen exactly like that and I'll feel like I'm in a movie? No. Will I make my boyfriend shoot the pumpkin launcher at an abandoned bus again and cheer when it breaks out a window? Absolutely.
2. Make Caramel Apples
A fall tradition that no one should go without, making caramel apples has been high on my list of priorities every year. Thankfully I have friends and housemates who fully support this wish list. We already have our supplies ready to go for this year. I'm probably enjoying a freshly dipped caramel apple as you read this. Try not to be too jealous. I know it might be hard.
3. Jump in a leaf pile.
I know what you're thinking. What am I - 12? No, but how dare you try and strip me of the sheer joy and pleasure of jumping in a quality leaf pile. There is no greater feeling than flinging yourself into the air and, just when you would normally land hard on the ground and permanently bruise something, flopping into a pile of crunchy leaves. It is so worth pulling pieces of leaves out of your hair for three days and I will do it until doing so causes me to break a hip. We're talking decades, people. Disappointingly, I don't have a picture of this one. Don't worry, when it happens this year I'll take about a hundred and you can come check it out on my blog. See? I'm such a good advertiser ;).
4. Cuddle, cuddle, cuddle.
When the temperature cools down, I don't want to do anything but spend afternoons wrapped up in the boyfriend's arms watching football games and renting movies on those stormy fall nights. These months are a perfect excuse to get a few extra cuddles in before you're both icicles and cuddling does no good. Unfortunately for you, I do have pictures for this one. ;)
5. Bake a pie.
I guess it would be fair for you to bake just about anything, but there's something about a pie that seems especially great in the fall. ESPECIALLY ESPECIALLY (yeah, two especiallys, that's some serious business) an apple pie. Yum. Too bad I finished all the apple crisp grandma dropped off the other day. Four girls who love sweets and one container of homemade apple crisp....48 hours was all it took. I'm getting off-topic. What I'm really saying here is... bake me a pie! Please?
I wanna say thank you again to Sabine for letting me demolish her blog with my crazy today. If you kinda don't mind the crazy, seriously, stop by and say hi! If you like the crazy when you get there, stay awhile! I've got some fun stuff coming up for the second half of September.
I wish we had pumpkin patches over here.
